mObridge joins MOST Cooperation
1 Mar, 2008FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Redondo Beach, CA and Melbourne, Australia - March 1, 2008 - mObridge joins MOST Cooperative Industry Coalition.
mObridge, Inc, of Redondo Beach, CA and parent/affiliate FiberDyne Systems Pty. Ltd., of Melbourne, Australia officially announce their acceptance and full entry into the MOST Cooperative.
MOST -- or Media Oriented Systems Transport – is the de-facto standard for multimedia and infotainment networking in the automotive industry. The technology was designed from the ground up to provide an efficient and cost-effective fabric to transmit audio, video, data and control information between any devices attached even to the harsh environment of an automobile. Its synchronous nature allows for simple devices to be able to provide content and others to render that content with the minimum of hardware. At the same time it provides unique quality of service for transmission of audio and video services. Although its roots are in the automotive industry, MOST can be used for applications in other areas such as other transportation applications, A/V networking, security and industrial applications.
The MOST Cooperation is the organization through which the technology is standardized and refined so that it continues to stay abreast of the latest technology requirements. Today it consists of 16 international carmakers and more than 70 key component suppliers. They have joined together to work with the MOST Technology and to contribute to its innovation. The MOST Cooperation is also prepared to embrace efforts to further develop and standardize the technology for other industries and to establish the corresponding work structures.
mObridge continues and strengthens our position of providing owners of vehicles featuring this technology with the best, most reliable, innovative products in the space and is constantly researching what new and innovative solutions mObridge can bring to customers.
With entry to the MOST Cooperative comes access to new insights, full access to specifications, and shared intellectual property that is essential for developing new products on the MOST standards.
mObridge was established in 2007, out of the partnership with FiberDyne, as a channel for the new line of MOST products for high-end vehicles.
